Many undergraduates use the web for all their information needs. ACRL's College Library Information Packet (CLIP) Notes publishing program provides this guide on teaching web search strategies in information-literacy instruction. Author Sullivan completed a literature review and then used the standard procedure for CLIP Notes surveys to gather information. From the surveys, received in late 2009 and early 2010, she presents the ways that academic libraries have incorporated web search strategies into their information-literacy instruction programs. Current practices from college libraries of all sizes are demonstrated by reproducing their documents, which are grouped into sections: for example, Search Engines and Directories, Search Strategies, Web Resources Guides, and Evaluating Web Sites.
