Marvin Bittinger has taught Mathematics for over 38 years. Since 1968 he has worked at the University of Indiana, Purdue University in Indianapolis and is now Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Education. He is the author of over 190 publications ranging from Basic Mathematics to Algebra, Trigonometry to Applied Calculus. He received his degree in Mathematics for the University Of Manchester and his Doctorate in Mathematical Education from Purdue. He has received special honors such as the Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Air Force Academy and was elected into the Board of Directors of Manchester University from 1992 to 1999. Dr. Bittinger has also participated as a speaker in math conventions, and recently conducted a conference titled "Baseball and Mathematics."
