The 2013 HOK Design Annual celebrates the power of design to enrich people's lives. This book includes some of this year's best work in architecture, interior design and planning and urban design projects from around the world, including:
- In London, a new broadcasting house for the BBC
- In Washington, DC, a revitalization of historic Union Station
- In Canada, two projects that are shaping higher education
- In Azerbaijan, a trio of towers inspired by flickering flames
- In Singapore, a hospital with the aesthetic of a luxury hotel
- In Hong Kong, a headquarters for a French fashion brand
Journey with the design teams as you look through floor plans, sketches, renderings and photographs of these dozens of dynamic projects that blend human need, environmental stewardship, value creation, science and art.
