Descripciones mejoradas de Syndetics:
For thousands of years, the theme of creation has exerted a powerful fascination on people's minds. A work of critical importance in this tradition was the Hexaëmeron of Robert Grosseteste, a study of Genesis in the light of ancient and contemporary scientific writings. On the products of a period of intense intellectual activity from about 1228 to 1235, the work is deeply revealing about Grosseteste's own mind.
Includes indexes.

Notas de autor provistas por Syndetics
Robert Grosseteste was an important figure in the introduction of Aristotle and the initiator of the Oxford tradition of science. later exemplified in Roger Bacon. His thought, which brought a Neoplatonic reading to Aristotle, is old-fashioned by the standards of the latter half of the century. He held many important positions, being one of the first chancellors of Oxford University and, later, bishop of Lincoln, and was an influential advocate of the Franciscans.(Bowker Author Biography)
