Zollar has compiled a fine little bibliography, one that provides a good selection of references on all aspects of teenage pregnancy. Broad topics covered include contraception, sex education, general demographic trends, and the types of problems produced by adolescent pregnancy. Most of the sources are journal articles, though chapters in books are also listed. Entries for journal articles are annotated. The annotations are quite good and are almost the length of abstracts. The journals included are English language and fairly readily available. Books and book chapters are usually listed without annotation. Since material on teenage pregnancy is not hard to find, one might wonder if this book is really all that essential. Most of these references could be found quite easily in the standard indexes; however, this is a nice one-stop guide. A related title is Treboux's T.A.P.P. sources: a national directory of teenage pregnancy prevention programs, published in cooperation with Women's Action Alliance. This is an attractively laid-out listing of organizations providing either information or medical services in the area of adolescent pregnancy prevention.
