Booklist Review

Career counseling and the hiring process are rarely discussed as thoroughly as they are in this text, which clearly reflects an understanding of the nature of the employer. Strictly nonelective positions are discussed, with an additional guide in the appendix matching college majors with federal agencies and departments. A current, well-written book covering all the general aspects of government employment. Appendixes include books and magazines, personnel departments, an index of college majors and federal jobs, and a glossary. (Reviewed August 1994)0844241946Kathy Bonnar
