Their practice spans architecture, urban design, installation art, performance, digital media, and print. From the famed High Line in New York City to the upcoming V&A East Storehouse in London and early projects like the Blur building designed for the 2002 Swiss Expo, DS+R explores alternative strategies for creating spaces that engage and surprise on a global scale. Designed by DS+R as a pair of structurally linked volumes, this monograph invites readers to bridge different modes of production and reconsider the boundaries of architecture. The unique binding allows each volume to be read individually or side by side by unfolding the book along the spine. Special crossover designs link the two volumes with shared obsessions. The monograph includes designs by the design consultancy 2x4, with photography by Iwan Baan and Matthew Monteith, among other photographers ER -
