The singularity of location captures the imagination of architects and designers with spectacular houses and unusual interiors. Light-flooded rooms with giant panoramic windows may be juxtaposed with archaic forms; homey parlours contrast against unusual implementation of stone and concrete. The volume Chalet Architecture + Design shows the new faces of the traditional mountain home around the globe: A panorama of modern reinterpretations of a building genre that meets design challenges with creativity and a drive to experiment unfolds before you.
