Featuring contributions from advocates for the homeless, journalists, urban planners, and politicians, the volume argues basics: Is homelessness the social problem of the decade or is the public being manipulated by faulty statistics? Is the alcoholic street bum an accurate representative of the homeless person today or has the complexion of the homeless population significantly changed?
