Resumen: God and Philosophy is not an attempt to convert readers but, rather, to examine the best arguments for Christianity that have been adduced. Aware that modern philosophy has been forged on the anvil of theism, the author has, in effect, presented an introduction to the philosophy of religion and to philosophy in general. "To attempt our main objective, "he says", is to refuse to accept a thesis attributed to Karl Barth, probably the most outstanding Protestant theologian of our time. 'Belief cannot argue with unbelief: it can only preach to it, "God and Philosophy proves that unbelief does not hesitate to reason with belief.
