Booklist Review

In the follow-up to her 2010 volume of the same name, Polanka who runs the blog No Shelf Required and is a columnist for Booklist on e-book topics has once again gathered an impressive group of librarians, educators, and other experts to contribute essays covering present issues and future plans for e-books in libraries. E-books create challenges and opportunities for libraries, and the 16 essays in this book cover the spectrum. Sarah Twill, a professor of social work at Wright State University (OH), looks at the impact of household circumstances on the use of e-books and the relevant implications for libraries, while librarian Alice Crosetto discusses weeding electronic collections. Publishers' views are included as well. Anyone interested in the discussion of e-books in libraries will be well served by this volume.--Vnuk, Rebecca Copyright 2010 Booklist
