Booklist Review

Law professor and law library director at the University of California, Berkeley, Robert C. Berring teaches educated individuals, who prefer to work without a lawyer, how to proceed through the legal labyrinth to answer questions regarding a tax audit or sexual harassment in the workplace. After explaining four challenges to effective research, a very poised Berring differentiates between primary (which Berring admits are the most difficult) and secondary law sources. The bearded expert uses flair and humor as he expands upon memorable road-map visuals to illustrate his commonsense approach and follows up with an in-depth description of source materials. Progressing logically, this informative video incorporates excellent visuals and is flexibly formatted for viewing in segments. Adult. ~--Nancy McCray
