Dr. Harvey M. Deitel is currently Chairman of the Computer Science Department of Boston College, where he teaches courses in systems programming, computer architecture, operating systems, software engineering, and computer networking. He has worked in the computer field for nearly 30 years, and has participated in the research and development of several large-scale operating systems, including IBM's OS and TSS, and MIT's Multics. Dr. Deitel also serves as an external Senior Research Consultant to the Corporation for Open Systems International.
