Publishers Weekly Review

* Gr 5-Up-Six months after the book's release in English, Spanish-speaking fans can finally delight on the darkest and most unsettling Harry Potter installment yet. The deeds of Voldemort's Death Eaters are spreading even to the Muggle world. Harry, who has grown to become a true leader, leaves for Hogwarts with the promise of private lessons with Dumbledore. He is increasingly isolated as rumors spread that he is the "Chosen One," the only individual capable of defeating Voldemort. Readers will be hooked as Harry embarks on a journey to unveil his nemesis' past. Rovira Ortega, who also translated Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, does a commendable job here, keeping regionalisms to a minimum. She maintains the English names throughout, which will be helpful for fans of the Harry Potter movies. The Spanish text flows smoothly, without the feel of a translation. Strongly recommended for all libraries, and for bookstores catering to children and adults alike.Carmen Ospina, "Críticas" (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved All rights reserved.

Booklist Review

Spanish speakers from the Americas want to read this vigorous rendition of the sixth Harry Potter adventure. Maintaining the dark, somber mood of the original, the translation gives Spanish readers an opportunity to enjoy a good story as well as contemplate their own Bosque Prohibido0 (Forbidden Forest). --Ray Olson Copyright 2006 Booklist
