In La reina de los condenados, Anne Rice continues her extraordinary "Vampire Chronicles," telling a chillingly hypnotic tale in which the oldest and most powerful forces of the night are unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Her narrative threads wind sinuously across a vast, richly detailed tapestry of the violent, sensual world of vampirism, taking us back 6,000 years to its very beginnings. As the "first brood" of blood drinkers emerges, we are swept across the ages, from Egypt to South America to the Himalayas, and to all shrouded corners of the globe where vampires have left their mark.

Publishers Weekly Review
Turned into a major frontline film in 2002, this 1988 blockbuster is the third part of the vampire chronicles that made Rice famous. The gory and erotic novel promises to be a hot item for those familiar with Rice's previous work. [The other books in the series are also available from Punto de Lectura.
