The poems in this collection comprise a significant addition to the oeuvre of one of the best-loved and most representative Puerto Rican poets of the 20th century. Presented with the original Spanish-language poems opposite the English translation, the poems resonate with universality and hard truths that announces themselves subtly, through metaphor and suggestion. The book also contains biographical information, notes, and a bibliography.
