Ages 16-adult. In a structured format, this candid program examines myths about date rape and presents interviews with survivors and counselors. Women and men discuss their horrendous experiences and their deep and continuing emotional reactions. Psychologists and therapists address the stages of the healing process, the physical and emotional issues, and the need for protection, communication, and support. Interspersed are glimpses of artwork, which provide a respite from the poignant revelations. Somewhat similar to Date Rape: Violence between Friends [BKL D 1 91], this production does explore the role of alcohol, linked to 90 percent of date-rape cases. ~--Nancy McCray
