Descripciones mejoradas de Syndetics:

Air Quality, Second Edition, covers all aspects of air quality-indoor air, atmospheric pollutants, alternative fuels, regulations, and more. New material is presented on global warming and acid rain, as well as additional coverage on the chemistry of air pollution. This completely updated version of a best-seller will be invaluable for consultants as a reference and for academics as a text.

CHOICE Review

The first two editions of this book (1st ed., 1985; 2nd ed., 1991) were intended primarily for readers who desired a thorough, but relatively nonmathematical, introduction to air quality principles. This new edition is an effective response to recent developments in the field. Many chapters have been significantly revised to incorporate up-to-date information about the role that atmospheric chemistry plays in problems like global warming and ozone depletion. Godish continues to do an excellent job of discussing air pollution and also includes important, but less commonly covered topics, such as noise pollution and indoor air quality. He has added a separate chapter on air quality calculations, allowing an instructor teaching from this book to decide how mathematical an approach to use, a welcome improvement. There is an extensive list of questions at the end of each chapter and also a good index. An attractive resource. Recommended. General readers; undergraduates; two-year technical program students. H.
