This selective bibliography is intended for classroom teachers of trainable mentally retarded students, preschool through adulthood. The majority of annotated books, articles, and resources included were published in the United States from 1970 to 1988. For many of the books cited contents are listed. The bibliography covers two major areas: assessments and programming for curriculum; and strategies for teaching and working with parents and support personnel. Three useful appendixes include Statewide Listings of Resource Agencies for Disabled Individuals and Their Families and Caregivers; Publishers and Suppliers; and Microcomputer Resources. Some seldom-addressed topics are also included. Updates at regular intervals would be beneficial. A long-overdue publication, this is for education collections.-- Samuel T.
