| Summary, etc. | "Esta colección inicia con e ensayo Los filipinos de la Playa de Ponce (1866-1930), en que el autor aporta una nueva dimensión al estudio genealógico. El mar sirvió de imán para atraer a estos asiáticos de cultura española, quienes se integraron con los puertorriqueños. Es el mismo mar que durante el terremoto de 1867 y los subsiguientes temblores entró tierra adentro causando un tsunami que, a su vez, provocó que los vecinos gritaran ¡La mar, la mar!, y corrieran hacia el cerro El Vigía." --Back of cover |
