"El libro presenta una actualización de la psicología jurídica en los ámbitos penal forense y policial. En él se presentan desde los procesos básicos para el desarrollo de una pericia hasta la aplicación de la mediación penal. Partiendo de los principios básicos que configuran la psicología jurídica desde su marco deontológico, los roles jurídicos, etc., se adentra en los procedimientos esenciales para la realización de una pericial forense, como son la elaboración del informe y su defensa en sala. A continuación, en los siguientes capítulos se van desgranando los distintos ámbitos básicos de actuación del psicólogo jurídico penal desde la evaluación forense, el análisis de los testimonios o la toma de decisiones judiciales. Posteriormente se abordan temáticas novedosas, como el proceso de acoso o la radicalización violenta, para adentrarse en la delincuencia infantojuvenil, los procesos de victimización y la violencia de género. En el penúltimo bloque se introduce al lector en la psicología policial y sus técnicas prioritarias, la psicología criminalística, perfilación e investigación criminal. Finalmente se plantean dos temáticas relevantes, como son la psicología penitenciaria y la mediación penal.
