Vincular en una sola frase amor y violencia parece una incoherencia, una realidad imposible. Necesitamos creer que el amor nos mantiene a salvo de la violencia, que alguien que ama de verdad no puede dañar a quien ama, pero no siempre es así. Hemos de entender que es un concepto idealizado y falso del afecto. En el afecto también puede haber manipulación, engaño y daño. Hay afectos que dañan, que destruyen sin dejar de ser afectos. En la mayoría de los casos de maltrato intrafamiliar o en el entorno cercano, para la persona violenta -sea adulto o menor de edad- y para la víctima, hay una relación afectiva, y nos equivocamos si tomamos como cinismo la afirmación de ese cariño. En el ámbito de la violencia una división de buenos y malos, de enfermos y sanos, no responde a la realidad que nos vemos obligados a afrontar. En la violencia intrafamiliar o en el entorno cercano, cualquier intervención terapéutica con las víctimas de violencia y con sus agresores, sean quienes sean, requiere un trabajo a largo plazo sobre sus modelos afectivos, sobre su forma de relacionarse afectivamente con los demás. No se trata en ningún momento de justificar o eximir de la responsabilidad de la agresión, sino de posibilitar elementos que contribuyan a mejorar nuestra intervención.--(Back cover). |
