| Participant or performer note | Los dibujos originales en pastel sobre madera fueron exhibidos en la Galería Petrus en San Juan de Puerto Rico el 11 de septiembre, 2025.<br/><br/>Nacido en Santurce, Puerto Rico en 1939, Antonio Martorell se ha dado al placer de dibujar, pintar, grabar, escribir, hacer teatro, radio, televisión, cine, danza, instalaciones ambientales y estructuras inclasificables. Es Artista Residente de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Cayey. Su taller está en la Playa de Ponce. Lleva más de 30 años como anfitrión con Rosa Luisa Márquez del programa 1,2,3 Probando en Radio Universidad de Puerto Rico. Participa en el programa en WIPR-TV En la punta de la lengua donde entrevista a artistas visuales. Esta serie televisiva ha sido galardonada con 5 premios Emmy. Su obra ha sido exhibida y premiada en su país y fuera de él. Es autor de los siguientes libros: La piel de la memoria (1991), El libro dibujado/el dibujo librado (1995), El velorio (no-vela) (2010), Pierdencuentra (2019), Los colores de Tó (2022) y Prendas de vestir y desvestir.<br/> |

| Summary, etc. | Es autor de los textos de Veveviejo adaptados al teatro y co-protagonizados por Rosa Luisa Márquez y el propio autor. Es el sujeto de la galardonada película documental El accidente feliz de la directora puertorriqueña Paloma Suau (2019). Recientemente le fue otorgada la trayectoria en el Desfila Nacional Puertorriqueño en Nueva York (2023). Ha recibido varios doctorados y es miembro de la Academia Puertorriqueña de la Lengua Española. Produce con sus amigos del Taller de La Playa de Ponce la serie documental videográfica: El Taller de La Playa de Ponce: Las artes como vía del conocimiento y aprendizaje de vida. Participa con sus amigos en el programa de artistas residentes en el Estuario de la Bahía de San Juan. |
