This history intentionally ends at the threshold of the Global War on Terrorism - the gateway to current history. <br/><br/>Anderson's research follows the changes in social and gender distinctions, in definitions of combat and combat support, and the belief in the value of using the best person to fill a military billet regardless of gender by voters, legislators, and military leadership that developed during this period.
