| Summary, etc. | "¿Cuáles son los derechos de la persona que recibe los servicios de salud mental?; ¿qué tipo de tratamientos debe recibir una vez admitido a una institución de serviios de salud mental?; ¿tiene derecho a la confidencialidad una persona que ha recibido servicios de salud mental y, de tenerlos, cuáles son las penas, si alguna, para los violadores?; ¿quién paga por los servicios de salud mental de una persona indigente, por sus medicamentos una vez sale de la institución de servicios de salud mental? Estas son, entre otras, preguntas que el ciudadano se formula cuando tiene un familiar necesitado de servicios de salud mental o cuando él mismo los necesita. No empece a que Puerto rico cuenta con una ley de avanzada, la misma es extensa y compleja. Es por ello que este Manual se ha elaborado a partir de las experiencias de su autor para apoyar, tanto a miembros de la Rama Judicial como a representnates legales, pacientes, familiales, profesionales de salud mental y al público en general a localizar de manera rápida y sencilla la diposición aplicable, los derechos que asisten a la persona que necesita los servicios de salud mental y los criterios por las que un ciudadano puede ser ingresado, aún involuntariamente, a recibir dichos servicios". -- back cover. |
