Precisamente por ello, para entender la Biblia es necesario comprender su entorno. Este primer volumen de la colección «Introducción al Estudio de la Biblia» quiere acercar al lector al mundo que rodea la Sagrada Escritura. En su primera parte, «La geografía y la arqueología bíblicas», Joaquín González Echegaray nos ayuda a conocer los lugares de los que nos hablan los textos, así como a recuperar las huellas que los hechos narrados han dejado bajo tierra. En «Historia social religiosa de Israel en los tiempos bíblicos», Francisco Varo nos proporciona el marco temporal en el que se desarrolla la historia sagrada. Finalmente, Ignacio Carbajosa, en la tercera parte, «El texto de la Biblia y la crítica textual», nos acerca al soporte físico que ha transmitido la palabra de Dios durante siglos: los manuscritos del Antiguo y del Nuevo Testamento en las diferentes lenguas, de los que sacamos nuestras ediciones críticas y nuestras traducciones modernas. |
