| Summary, etc. | El texto que se presenta al lector tiene por modesta ambición prestar ayuda a cuantos se interesan seriamente por el estudio de la historia y desean conocer los métodos para hacer Historia Oral en la investigación del pasado. Objetivo este que no siempre se puede alcanzar en las aulas de nuestras universidades, donde ha sido frecuente hasta hoy-las cosas, por fortuna, empiezan a cambiar- que se ignoren y menosprecien las aportaciones metodológicas y tecnológicas de los últimos cincuenta años.<br/><br/>Al someter la publicación de este Manual de Trabajo para la práctica de Historia Oral de Puerto Rico hemos pensado sobre todo en los estudiantes, en la importancia que tiene para que se acostumbren a pensar en su aprendizaje de la historia como algo activo, que exige su plena colaboración, en lugar de contentarse con ser el receptor totalmente pasivo de una enseñanza académica que no tiene nada que ver con sus preocupaciones o sus problemas.--(from back cover) |
