| Summary, etc. | Con Ruinas, basura y menudo, René Duchesne Sotomayor nos entrega una red de narraciones que bien puede leerse como novella. En sus páginas se articulan los intersticios de tres vidas memoriosas, tres masculinidades quebradas (Luis Gausa, Paco y Alfonso) y una casa en ruinas que las reúne como espléndida metáfora del hoy. Esa casa también es Puerto Rico. Desplomado y saqueado, con la venia del imperio, el capital y la colonia -que vienen a ser tres vigas del mismo croquis-, el país afirma, sin embargo, que tras el desamparo y sus tramoyas, queda lo "existente para permanecer". Ahí se cuela la vida persistente, aun en tiempos en que todo parece ruinas, basura y menudo.
