| Summary, etc. | AMbrosio de Milán es, sin ninguna duda, uno de los grandes personajes de la Iglesia en el siglo IV. Sin embargo, su importancia en los debates teológicos de su tiempo no siempre ha sido debidamente valorada. Este estudio intenta analizar el lugar que ocupó el obispo de Milán en las grandes controversias trinitarias y cristológicas que llevaron a las definiciones doctrinales de Éfeso y Calcedonia. Para es, el autor examina el texto histórico que llevó a AMbrosio a participar de dichas controversias, su formación intelectual, tanto filosófica como teológica, los precedentes del debate cristológico, en especial la importancia del alma humana en la acción del alma humana en la acción salvadora de Cristo y el aporte de Ambrosio y su interpretación de los pasajes escriturísticos que estaban en el centro de la disputa. Por último, el autor analiza también la recepción que tuvo la cristología ambrosiana tanto en el mundo occidental como en el oriental. |
