| Summary, etc. | This is a book to help the perplexed rejoice. In a profoundly moving sequel to his famous MEDITATIONS, Ladislaus Boros gives us the fruits of his contemplation of the mystery of Jesus in the context of eternity. He offers us news of a living God. As soon as a man begins to pray, to seek, to ask the questions that count – whether out of need and desolation, or joy and gratitude – he thinks about himself, his existence in this world and his relation to the Divine. Boros shows that the most satisfying answer to that quest within and without is Jesus Christ himself, the heart of the Christian life. Jesus is the goal of all our thinking and praying. That terrible emptiness between us and God, and all dryness and doubt, are conquered in any but their most fruitful sense by Jesus, who cancels the distance between man and Deity. Boros makes us comprehend, feel and live that narrowing to nothingness of an awful gulf. He takes us to the heart of the God-mystery, made clear to all eyes that long to see. God's love for his creation, and the change in men and their world that must come with a realization of that love, are the essence of these meditations.
