| Expansion of summary note | Desde las «Semanas Universitarias de Salzburgo» (Slzburger Hochschulwochen) de 1937, en las que, bajo el título de «La teología como ciencia» (Theologie als Wissenshaft), personas muy competentes, como A. Stolz, K. Rahner y otros, trataron de actualizar teológicamente el antiguo tratado «Teología Ascética y Mística», han pasado ya nada menos que 77 años. Durante este tiempo, el viento del Espíritu ha soplado intensamente con ocasión del concilio Vaticano II (1960-1965) y nos ha aportado preciosas novedades. Hemos visto aparecer sucesivamente obras significativas escritas por V. Lossky, De Guibert, P. Teilhard de Chardin, P. Evdokimov, J. Meyendorff, Th. Spidlík, H. U. von Balthasar... Pese a todo, tal vez hoy sea más acuciante que nunca ofrecer al pueblo de Dios una síntesis, a la vez doctrinal y espiritual, que incorpore todo lo bueno ocurrido durante esos años en el ámbito teológico y vuelva a plantear de modo nuevo la espiritualidad a la dogmática. La humanidad de Cristo, la lógica del amor y el misterio trinitario, que en la muerte y resurrección de Jesús (la economía del misterio) pusieron de manifiesto su indisoluble dinamismo y unidad, quizá deberían ser, en opinión del autor, la columna vertebral de la Teología Espiritual Sistemática del futuro, síntesis de la dogmática y de la espiritualidad, horizonte y sentido de la evolución, y lugar de encuentro ecuménico con la Iglesia del Oriente cristiano; con el fin de que tanto el creyente como a comunidad orante interioricen contemplativa-mente la Palabra encarnada por la obra del Espíritu, adoren al Padre en Espíritu y en verdad, y de este modo entren en comunión vital con el misterio de la santa e inefable Trinidad. |
