Cuenta José Saramago que su abuelo, un viejo campesino, se levantó de su lecho de muerte y se abrazó llorando a los árboles de su huerto para despedirse de ellos. Ningún niño viene al mundo proclamando «yo pienso, luego existo». Abandonada a sí misma, la persona jamás se realizaría como un «yo» auténtico. Si llega a realizarse es porque otra libertad fuera de ella, la considera y trata como un «yo». Como nos recuerda A. Leonard, sin necesidad de estudiar psicología o filosofía, todas las madres de la tierra saben que no hace falta esperar a que el niño tenga conciencia de es un «yo» para hablarle de «tú» y saben también que hay que hablarle incluso antes de que el universo del lenguaje le sea inteligible. A lo largo de toda mi vida escapo al anonimato amenazador accedo a la plenitud de mi ser personal gracias al don que me viene del otro y de los otros. |
