| Summary, etc. | "Con sumo rigor y elegancia, la investigadora y profesora Laura Crespo González explora los diversos factores que han confluido para encancaranublar nuestro cielo puertorriqueño y caribeño. En este estudio se exploran las ramificaciones de la violencia producto de nuestra condición colonial ya centenaria, según las representa Ana Lydia Vega (n. 1946) en tres colecciones seminales de la literatura puertorriqueña, a saber: Vírgenes y mártires (1981), publicada junto a Carmen Lugo Filippi, Encancaranublado y otros cuentos de naufragio (1983) y Pasión de historia y otras historias de pasión (1987). La Dra. Crespo fundamenta sus análisis contextuales en pensadores tales como Foucault, Fanon y Memmi, Galtung, Durkheim y Merton, así como en las profesoras Madeline Román y Laura Ortiz. Su estudio parte del estructuralismo genético propuesto por Lucien Goldmann, que enriquece con las teorías del crítico Mikhail Bakhtin y el modelo cómico-serio de la sátira menipea. Estas, dan cuenta de la perspectiva crítica y paródica, polifónica y carnavalesca desde la cual la autora rescata y apalabra nuestra historia que constituye una narrativa irreverente, transgresora y, por último, liberadora"-- from back cover. |
