| Summary, etc. | La conceptualización de los cuidados en la región latinoamericana y caribeña proviene sobre todo de los análisis en torno a la división sexual del trabajo, el sistema reproductivo y el trabajo doméstico, nociones que tienen sus primeros planteos en el feminismo marxista y socialista. Las miradas en América Latina sobre los cuidados también han hecho un fuerte hincapié en el cuidado como uno de los elementos centrales de una economía alternativa y feminista pero también como un componente clave del bienestar social. Este libro presenta una reflexión colectiva sobre los cuidados como un concepto en continuo proceso de construcción teórica, alrededor del cual surgen numerosos interrogantes que subsisten en torno a su definición y delimitación. Al mismo tiempo esto lo vuelve un campo fértil de investigación. La colección Miradas Latinoamericanas. Un estado del debate tiene como objetivo relevar las novedades teóricas, metodológicas y temáticas en diversos campos del saber, tanto a través de perspectivas trans e interdisciplinares, como desde diferentes tradiciones intelectuales.
