"Desde sus comienzos la humanidad ha tenido al dicha de tener artistas entre sus miembros. Estos comenzaron a crear su arte y, en algún momento maravilloso, se le ocurrió a alguien exhibirlo. Ya antes le era obvio a los humanos que estaban rodeados por el arte de la naturaleza y se dedicaron a ver y pensar. Tantos así que, poco a poco, se fue acumulando no solo el arte, sino la curiosidad de entender lo que se veía. ¿Como funcionaba? ¿Que lo propulsaba? Fue indispensable para todos que surgieran filósofos, científicos y maestros, y que poco a poco mujeres y hombre de calibre fueran formando centros donde se enseñara a pensar: escuelas y universidades. A través del tiempo que me ha tocado vivir he sido testigo de la producción de los artistas en museos, teatros, cines, salas musicales, libros y en muchos otros medios, y he podido pensar sobre lo que he visto. Mi entrenamiento en las ciencias ha sido fundamental para mi análisis. Acertados o no, les tocara a los lectores determinarlo. Los invito a testificar también"-- back cover<br/> |
