Pero, cuando las leí, me hicieron pensar en mi texto y en cómo, de haberlas conocido antes, las hubiera usado de epígrafe, porque sintetizan gran parte de lo que las páginas de mi libro quieren decir. Pero ahora, sin más remedio, las empleo como epílogo. Epígrafe y epílogo; abrir y cerrar; partir y regresar: esto es todo viaje y toda memoria porque también el recuerdo es viaje. Es sólo tras el final de la marcha, cuando se regresa a casa, que se pueden contar las peripecias de la jornada. Es sólo tras el cierre temporal que se puede rememorar y contar lo que nos pasó. Por ello y porque regresé a casa para entonces recordar y escribir es que les puedo ofrecer estas crónicas que son memorias y estas memorias que son crónicas. -- (Back cover). |
