Parece obvio que, para mejorar o resolver cualquier problema, lo primero que se necesita es comprenderlo bien, pero esto no sucede cuando se habla de pequeños y adolescentes que van mal en el colegio. En muchas ocasiones se manifiesta una interpretación simplista y siempre errónea, se recurre a pensar que el niño es vago. Las investigaciones de las últimas décadas han demostrado las verdaderas causas que hay detrás del escaso rendimiento, el rechazo y el desinterés por los deberes y por el estudio: pueden existir retrasos o trastornos en el neurodesarrollo, dificultades de aprendizaje y problemas emocionales. El objetivo de este libro es ayudar a los padres y profesores a que comprendan bien estas dificultades y la manera de afrontarlas.
