| Summary, etc. | La eliminación de la sección 936. del Código de Rentas Internas federal, es un aspecto destacado de la crisis económica y estructural que vive Puerto Rico desde el 2006. Aunque se trata de un evento relativamente reciente, con un impacto difícil de evadir, el complejo proceso de su eliminación en gran medida se desconoce. Además, los actores principales de esta historia han intentado esconderla como una forma de evadir su responsabilidad ante la crisis actual. Esta investigación minuciosa no solo pone al descubierto el proceso de eliminación de la Sección 936, sino que su lectura permite aclarar parte de la reconfiguración de nuestra economía, así como entender el trasfondo de la crisis de los dos partidos políticos principales en el presente. |
