| Summary, etc. | El autor rescata la obra de dos destacados historiadores Herminio Portell Vilá, cubano, y Barbara Tuchman, estadounidense, qué propusieron perspectivas distintas a las ortodoxias historiográficas sobre ese proceso. Muratti no sólo hace una valoración crítica de las aportaciones de estos historiadores, sino que, además, profundiza en el análisis de las aportaciones caribeñas y de otras potencias presentes en el Caribe a la independencia de Estados Unidos. Como toda buena investigación, la obra de Muratti nos obliga a repensar lo que creíamos conocer sobre ese proceso que tantas consecuencias ha tenido para la región y el mundo -- Jorge Rodríguez Beruff. |
