A través de una selección de episodios de los siglos XIX y XX, Prohibidas pero no vencidas, con un estilo informal y divertido, revela cómo distintas precursoras de buena parte del mundo ? campeonas, pedagogas, artistas, aventureras? lograron lo que solo parecía reservado a la porción masculina de la humanidad, convirtiéndose así en ejemplos de las capacidades físicas y psicológicas de las mujeres. Prohibidas pero no vencidas no solo supone un complemento necesario a la historia del deporte, pues la mayoría de los nombres que aparecen entre sus páginas seguramente serán desconocidos para quien lo lea, sino que es imprescindible para entender la historia de las luchas por la igualdad en una búsqueda que emprendieron hace mucho algunas valientes enfrentándose cara a cara con una realidad hostil, burlando obcecaciones sociales y forjando pequeñas revoluciones diarias. Deporte, revolución, reivindicación y sentido homenaje, desde el máximo respeto y sin perder, salvo cuando ya la cosa no tiene ninguna gracia, el sentido del humor impulsado y disfrutado por mujeres. |
