| Summary, etc. | "̈¿Quieres saber qúe otras terapias complementarias existen más allá de los tratamientos convencionales para el cáncer? El concepto de «oncología integrativa» es un término relativamente nuevo que combina la oncología oficial (o alopática) con todas aquellas terapias complementarias que han demostrado mejorar la calidad de vida de los enfermos de cáncer y reducir los efectos adversos de la quimioterapia y radioterapia (e incluso mejorar los resultados de dichos tratamientos). La psicooncología, la acupuntura o la fito y la micoterapia (plantas y hongos medicinales, respectivamente) son solo algunas de estas terapias y técnicas que abordan el cáncer de forma holística, es decir, teniendo en cuenta no solo la parte física del paciente (la dolencia o enfermedad concreta), sino también su parte emocional y psicológica, entre otras.
