El líder nacionalista, como sabemos, era un gran orador. En Cuba le apodaban el Mago de la Palabra. Aun así, Albizu advirtió de que pronunciar el discurso conmemorativo de Lares en 1950 no era una tarea fácil. Puerto Rico vivía un momento decisivo de su historia. Uno de los temás que dominó su alocución fue la movilización de miles de puertorriqueños a la guerra de Corea. Transcurría entonces el último fin de semana de septiembre de 1950. |
