| Summary, etc. | Durante estos últimos años, ha ido en aumento el interés por experimentar diversos enfoques terapéuticos. En búsqueda de una rápida y permanente recuperación, muchos pacientes y profesionales, han optado por utilizar la medicina alternativa junto con las terapias convencionales. Una de estas medicinas alternativas es la Herbolaria, donde el término puede aludir a la aplicación de la botánica en el campo de la medicina. De entre todas las plantas medicinales existentes, se destaca la Kalanchoe daigremontiana, también conocida como aranto. Según estudios previos realizados con otras especies del género Kalanchoe, ha sido demostrado que esta posee propiedades antifúngicas, antinflamatorias, antihistamínicas, hepatoprotectoras, inmunosupresoras y antitumorales6,7. Muchas personas, en la actualidad, están utilizando la K. daigremontiana para tratar y curar el cáncer. Por consiguiente, fue posible estudiar el efecto de la K. daigremontiana empleando células cancerosas de Mus musculus (SP2/0- Ag14 IMM002.69.47.4 (ATCC® CRL-13007TM) |
