| Summary, etc. | Rosas y Rodríguez señalaron “La flora del recinto de Mayagüez.de la PUCPR muestra cerca de 30 familias con 53especies de diversas plantas. Algunas son nativas de México, China, India, Asia, Centroamérica, Filipinas entre otros. No obstante, como motivo de orgullo contábamos con la palma real que es nativa de Puerto Rico, sin embargo, el huracán María destruyó las pocas especies que quedaban alrededor del Recinto. Como flor nativa de Puerto Rico también tenemos la Flor de Maga. Es importante resaltar la importancia y el valor que tiene nuestra flora y los beneficios que le provee al Recinto; especialmente en la calidad del aire”. |
