| Summary, etc. | La culminación de este libro parte de una larga investigación iniciada en el 2008, en la cual participaron un total de 8,000 cuidadores y adultos mayores que ofrecieron información relevante para profundizar en el tema del cuidado. El libro se compone de seis capítulos en los que se priorizan las categorías que más afectan al cuidador en el ámbito psicológico y emocional, así como la importancia de la intervención psicoterapéutica y del apoyo psicológico. Al finalizar se integra toda la información concreta y subjetiva sobre el cuidado, destacando los resultados más oportunos y considerando los aspectos que más importancia pueden tener para que el cuidador pueda cuidar sin sufrimiento o sobrecarga. Es fundamental dar a conocer los beneficios del autocuidado y compartir los conocimientos de aquellos que ya cuidan desde hace muchos años, para que este acto tan honroso sea algo verdaderamente importante tanto para el adulto mayor como para el cuidador. |
