El mundo se ha transformado en un continuo e intenso traslado de personas, y dentro de él se encuentran inmersos millares de viajeros. La globalización, los cambios sociales y culturales y el deseo implícito y explícito de'vivir el hoy'han generado un notable incremento de la actividad turística. Tanto el turismo interno como el internacional, constituyen factores determinantes en el avance e incremento de las cuentas nacionales de cada país. La proporción o participación de la actividad turística en el producto bruto de cada país constituye una prueba irrefutable de la magnitud que ha alcanzado en los mismos. Por ello, es necesario ampliar, profundizar y delimitar la terminología vinculada con la actividad turística, la geografía, la economía, el transporte, la promoción y publicidad, etc., son aspectos relevantes de la actividad. Este diccionario trata de proporcionar un vocabulario adecuado a todos aquellos, que de una forma directa o indirecta, se encuentran inmersos en el quehacer turístico. |
