| Summary, etc. | Este breve texto gira en torno a las Marías cimarronas revolucionarias durante el periodo de 1806 hasta la abolición de la esclavitud en Puerto Rico en marzo de 1873. Aquí se retoma y se amplía uno de los temas abordados en mi disertación titulada: La resistencia antiesclavista de la mujer en Puerto Rico, 1806-1873, que en estos momentos se está revisando para pronta publicación. En una muestra de 111 cimarronas se encontró que más de 20 llevaban el nombre de María. |
