| Summary, etc. | Desaparecido a los 45 años, Enric Miralles tuvo sin embargo una trayectoria fulgurante, dejando tras de sí un puñado de obras maestras y una manera de hacer irrepetible, que sacudieron como un sismo la arquitectura española durante la última década del siglo xx. Los artículos aquí reunidos se inician con una crónica de la accidentada construcción del Palacio de los Deportes de Huesca que sirve para presentar sus formas inestables y líricas, y se ocupan también del Centro de Gimnasia Rítmica en Alicante, el Círculo de Lectores en Madrid, la sede de Gas Natural en Barcelona y el Parlamento de Escocia en Edimburgo, su obra más polémica y de mayor repercusión internacional, terminada póstumamente lo mismo que la sede barcelonesa. Uno de los textos se dedica al extraordinario cementerio de Igualada, donde hoy descansa el arquitecto, y el que cierra el volumen rememora la relación de Miralles con el autor, reconstruida veinte años después de su muerte con la melancolía de una ausencia prematura. |
