"En el verano de 2019, Puerto Rico vivió una revuelta popular originada por la publicación de las comunicaciones privadas del gobernador Ricky con su gabinete. Durante doce días, los boricuas no descansaron en manifestaciones de todo tipo, resultando en la eventual renuncia de Ricky. Esta novela de humor se desarrolla durante este periodo. 'Vicente' vuelve a reunir a 'Los Plomeros', el grupo clandestino que luchaba contra independentistas. Cuando el anciano se entera que su nieta pretende participar en una de las manifestaciones, conocida como el 'perreo combativo', no tiene más remedio que asistir a las protestas, pues su grupo ha planificado un acto terrorista de ultraderecha durante esta actividad de protesta. Mientras tanto, también conocemos de la ansiedad de Ricky, quien se refugia en un trono que ha construído en los túneles debajo de La Fortaleza, donde consulta a su perra Reina y el fantasma de Carlos Romero Barceló, y ha desarrollado su propio plan secreto para conservar el poder. Una novela irreverente por el autor de 'La Gran Novela Boricua', donde repasamos los eventos de los días entre la publicación del chat y la histórica renuncia del gobernador; mientras revivimos las batallas históricas entre el gobierno y la 'amenaza' del nacionalismo. De paso, nos enfrentamos a galletas con pasto, visiones pornográficas, perros que hablan, tableros de ouija, taínos, y otros elementos que seguramente jamás usó su maestra de historia"--Amazon.com. |
