Back cover: "En los últimos años hemos sido testigos de un interés creciente por tender puentes entre la ciencia que investiga cómo aprendemos y la práctica educativa. Por un lado, la comunidad científica ha fijado su atención en cuestiones de gran relevancia para la educación, partiendo del estudio del cerebro y acercándose paulatinamente a los contextos reales en que ocurre el aprendizaje. Por otro lado, la comunidad educativa ha recibido con expectación la posibilidad de apoyar sus prácticas sobre evidencias científicas. Para contribuir a esta labor, este libro nos aproxima de manera rigurosa, pero también amena y accesible, a los conocimientos científicos que hemos obtenido acerca de las acciones y las circunstancias que promueven el aprendizaje en el contexto educativo. Así, se exponen desde los mecanismos cognitivos que rigen la memoria y el aprendizaje hasta los factores socioemocionales que influyen en la motivación y en el desempeño de los estudiantes. Además, se detalla la investigación relativa a los procesos clave de la enseñanza, tales como el feedback y la evaluación, y se dedica una especial atención a la autorregulación del aprendizaje y su relación con el éxito escolar y académico. En definitiva, este libro acerca a docentes, estudiantes y el público en general a los principios basados en la evidencia científica sobre cómo aprendemos, que pueden servir para fundamentar las prácticas educativas más allá de la experiencia personal.". |
